More about this list

Friday is the fullest day of the Madrid chess week in this guide. In the afternoon the Chamartín district's monitor is at the giant board in the Jardines de Pablo Sorozábal, and the Coslada club teaches its school groups at the Centro Cívico El Cerro. Towards evening the get-together at Academia de Ajedrez Chamberí begins, the one the Madrid Chess Meetup group announces roughly every other week.

Later, Octava Casilla in Hortaleza holds its club evening of blitz, rapid and friendly games, and Diagonal Alcorcón has its weekly encounters at the Buero Vallejo cultural centre; the same club's Slowblitz, a blitz tournament held about once a month, usually falls on a Friday too. Not every one of these runs every week or through the summer, so check the latest date on each tile.
