More about this list

Saturday chess in Madrid is a morning affair. The Chamartín district's monitor leads an open session in the Parque de Gloria Fuertes, with no registration. Ajedrez con Cabeza in Chamberí opens for playing until lunchtime, Jaque y Mate Venceremos in Alcalá de Henares lists Saturday morning opening hours, and the Getafe club meets to train from half past twelve at a civic centre, asking visitors to get in touch before they come.

For tournament players, La Didáctica has run its Circuito de los Sábados, a series of rapid tournaments, on most Saturdays of the winter and spring, and the society says a tournament can be played there on Fridays and Saturdays. The other entries are classes: adult groups at Ajedrez Blanco y Negro, Diagonal Alcorcón and Las Rozas Reacciona, children at Capablanca's municipal school, at Pueblo Nuevo and, free of charge, with Torre de Éboli in Pinto. Hours, and the season each timetable belongs to, are on the cards.
